Gustavo Dudamel is the current Music Director. Great composers such as Rameau, Gluck, Rossini, Verdi, Wagner, Gounod, Massenet, Poulenc and Messiaen all gave the first performances of their works here. Under the new directorship of Alexander Neef, the company holds performances in two theatres, the 1970-seat Palais Garnier (1875) and the 2700-seat L'Opéra Bastille (1989) and remains committed to preserving and developing our operatic and ballet heritage, holding more than 350 performances per year.
The days are very long and I do my best to be reasonable in maintaining my body fit.Founded more than three centuries ago by Louis XIV, Opéra national de Paris is one of the world's greatest opera and ballet companies. The rehearsals usually begin at 1.30 pm and end at 7.pm, it’s why we have to have a really healthy life style because it is definitely very important for a ballerina.
Usually, I leave home at 9.15 am for my morning class at 10.00 am at Paris Opera. I think it’s very healthy and appropriate for a typical day of dancers. The first thing I do when I woke up at 8.30 am is to take my breakfast, it’s very important to start the day with energy, a car without fuel can’t roll, it’s the same for dancers! The most of the time the morning, I drink some Earl Grey Tea and orange juice with omelette, kiwi, brioche and jam. Are you ready to see how a day in my life looks like? Hi everybody!
